Water Sculptures & Scenes
Commissioned habitat scenes — splashing landings, cattail blinds, ice shelves, decoy spreads, and full aquatic dioramas built around your bird.

What makes a great waterfowl habitat scene
Habitat scenes are where taxidermy crosses into sculpture. Every scene is one-of-one: hand-sculpted, hand-painted, and built around the specific bird or birds going into it. Splashing landings, sea duck rock mounts, cattail blinds, ice shelves, and full dioramas are all part of what we do.
Scene builds start with a conversation about your space, the moment you want captured, and how many birds you want represented. Lead times and pricing scale with complexity — smaller splash scenes can be quick turnarounds, while full dioramas are multi-month commissions.
Built the right way, every time
Every mount we deliver goes through the same meticulous process — no shortcuts, regardless of pose or species.

Get the most out of your bird
The 30 seconds after the bird hits the ground matter more than anything we do in the studio. Follow these basics to protect your mount:
- Talk to us BEFORE hunting if possible — some scenes benefit from specific plumage timing
- Leave the bird intact — do not gut
- Freeze flat with feathers smoothed
- Send a reference photo of your intended display space

Let’s build something worth the wait
Every bird we take in gets the same standard of care. Start your project below or give us a call.
