Flying Duck Mounts
Landing poses, cupped wings, climbing flushes, and banking turns — award-winning flying duck taxidermy that captures the drama of the moment.
What makes a great flying duck mount
A flying duck should read like a single frozen frame from real flight — wings in a natural power stroke, feet tucked, head position matching the flight phase, and feather groups flowing with the wind. Our flying duck mounts include standard flying styles, banking poses, landing-in poses, and specialty multi-bird flocks.
Every bird goes through meticulous skinning, fleshing, and washing before it ever touches a form. We test-fit each bird on multiple forms to find the posture that matches its size, wingspan, and plumage. Habitat bases, driftwood mounts, and wall-flush installations are all available.
Built the right way, every time
Every mount we deliver goes through the same meticulous process — no shortcuts, regardless of pose or species.
Pose accuracy
Wing position, head tilt, and feet match what the bird actually does mid-flight — not a generic flying form.
Feather integrity
Secondary and primary flight feathers re-aligned by hand after drying so light catches correctly.
Mount options
Wall-flush, ceiling-hung, driftwood, or full habitat — we’ll recommend what fits your space.

Get the most out of your bird
The 30 seconds after the bird hits the ground matter more than anything we do in the studio. Follow these basics to protect your mount:
- Do NOT gut the bird — leave it fully intact
- Smooth feathers in natural direction before freezing
- Wrap in plastic bag, press out air, label species + date
- Freeze flat; avoid bending the neck or wings
