Timelines & Pricing

Honest answers to the two questions every hunter asks first — what will it cost, and when will it be ready.

Taxidermy pricing is more than a number on a page. It reflects the form, the tan, the artist hours, the studio overhead, and the warranty that follows the mount home. Here is how to plan for both the wait and the bill.

Months for most full mounts

Frequently asked

The questions we answer most often, drawn from real conversations on the studio floor.

Why does taxidermy take so long?

A skin must be fleshed, salted, tanned, dried, and rehydrated before a single stitch is sewn. That alone is months of bench time. Add the artist queue and finish work and you get a year-plus.

Do you offer rush jobs?

Occasionally, for legitimate reasons such as memorial mounts. Rush work is priced separately and accepted only when our queue allows.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. A non-refundable deposit secures your spot in the queue and covers materials. The balance is due at pickup or before shipment.

Can I lock in today’s pricing?

Yes. The price quoted at intake is the price you pay, even if our published rates change while your mount is in production.

Do you charge extra for habitat or driftwood?

Standard habitat is included on most mounts. Custom water scenes, custom bases, and elaborate dioramas are quoted separately.

How do I qualify for the Easy 8 plan?

Any mount over a set dollar threshold qualifies. Eight equal payments, no interest, no credit pull. Ask us at intake or call the office.
