Looking for an experienced, award-winning taxidermist near Door County, Wisconsin? Stehling’s Taxidermy has preserved trophies for Door Peninsula hunters and anglers for over 50 years. Our Green Bay-area studio in New Franken sits right at the base of the peninsula — a short drive south of Sturgeon Bay — making us the most convenient full-service studio for sportsmen and women across Door County.
Door County is surrounded by some of the best water in the Midwest. The bay of Green Bay and Lake Michigan side produce trophy walleye, smallmouth bass, musky, and the famous Sturgeon Bay system whitefish and salmon, while the peninsula’s fields, cedar swamps, and shoreline draw whitetail, ducks, and geese. Spring turkey hunting across the peninsula is excellent. Our specialties run deep — lifelike whitetail shoulder and pedestal mounts, dramatic flying and standing waterfowl, full-body and life-size bear, and museum-grade big-game and exotic work. European skull mounts are available too, but they’re just one small part of what we do.
