Our Northeast Wisconsin Home

Built for the way the north hunts.

The New Franken location was opened for a simple reason: the hunters, anglers, and families of northeastern Wisconsin deserve a full‑service studio closer to home. Three thousand square feet of showroom — chesterfield seating, a bourbon‑barrel display, mounts ranging from whitetails to kudu — and behind the counter, the same family‑operated standard that's defined Stehling's for over fifty years.

This is where you bring the bird from opening morning, the buck from the stand behind the barn, the walleye from the bay. Drop it off here, and it becomes part of a lineage that runs through our Jefferson studio — the largest in Wisconsin, and one of the largest in the world — and through the hands of brothers Aaron and Austin Stehling, the second generation carrying the work forward.

New Franken FAQ

Do I need an appointment to drop off?

No. You can drop off work during any open hours — Tuesday and Thursday, 3–7 PM — and walk through the showroom while you're here.

What days is the location open?

Tuesday and Thursday, 3 PM to 7 PM. For other times, call ahead — we can often accommodate.

Do you accept fish, waterfowl, and small game at this location?

Yes. We accept all species at this location for both drop‑off and pickup — fish, waterfowl, upland birds, big game, exotics, everything. Every mount at this location ties back into the Jefferson studio workflow, so the quality is identical.

How long does a mount typically take?

Most mounts run 12–14 months from drop‑off to pickup, with more complex projects taking longer. We'll give you a specific estimate for your animal when you bring it in.
