What Makes a Great Gobbling Turkey Mount?

A great gobbling mount starts with proper field care. How you handle your bird immediately after the harvest directly affects the quality of the finished piece — especially with a gobbling pose, where the head and neck position are so prominent. Once your turkey reaches us, we walk through exactly how you want the finished mount to look. The gobbling pose gives you real flexibility — the head can be angled up, forward, or slightly turned, and we work with you to dial in the right amount of stretch and attitude. Feather alignment, wattle and snood coloring, and beard presentation all get careful attention. Every gobbling mount from Stehling’s is individually built — we never use a cookie-cutter approach.

Turnaround time for a standard gobbling turkey mount is approximately 12–14 months. If you need your mount sooner, we offer rush service options starting at 180 days (+25%), 90 days (+50%), or even a 30-day super rush for select orders.
