What Makes a Great Full Strut Turkey Mount?

A truly exceptional full strut mount starts long before the bird reaches our studio. It begins in the field — how you handle your turkey immediately after the harvest has a direct impact on the quality of the finished mount. Once your turkey reaches us, we take the time to discuss exactly how you want it displayed. Full strut mounts offer a lot of creative freedom: you can choose a floor pedestal, a wall-mounted scene with habitat, or a completely custom setup that fits your space. We pay close attention to feather alignment, head coloring, beard and spur presentation, and the overall posture of the bird. Each full strut mount from Stehling’s is individually sculpted and finished — we never use a one-size-fits-all approach.
