How it works:

1) Contact us before your trip to discuss procedures for getting your birds back . We will provide you with our USDA approved facility number and shipping address. You will need to have this information available to customs for form VS form 16-78 .
Even if you are taking the birds back into the US yourself and not shipping them, our address must be listed and the birds must come directly to us.

2) Once your birds are received at our facility,they will be put into quarantine and go through the clearance process. All meat is removed and the birds are put through a series of soaks to kill any diseases. The trimmings and packing are also treated and disposed of in accordance with the pre determined procedures outlined by the USDA for our facility. A special section of our studio is dedicated to clearing birds and has restricted access. Only trained employees are allowed into this area and are allowed to process the restricted birds. A detailed log is kept of the treatment and clearing process. This log is available to our clients and is sent to the USDA. We update our section of the VS 16-78 form and forward it to the USDA. A detailed track and trace is kept on the birds until they are ultimately returned to you as completed mounts.
